OnePlus One gets updated to stable CyanogenMod 11S

OnePlus One went on sale a few weeks ago ahead of schedule and lots of people are already using it. Those early adopters noticed there are quite a few bugs in the CyanogenMod 11S release that premiered with the OnePlus One. The initial release was surely not final or stable, but this changes today.


OnePlus One is now getting a stable release of the CyanogenMod 11S that improves lots of stuff:
  • Better earpiece performance
  • Fixes lockscreen glitches
  • Smoother 4K video recording
  • Adds stereo video recording
  • Fixes Home key glitch on double-tap
  • Better keyboard haptic feedback
  • Redesigned Flashlight app
  • New welcome screen
The update is now available for download, but it will FACTORY RESET your OnePlus One, deleting all your data. It's a good idea to backup your critical data before proceeding with the update.

The Elephone "Vowney" has a QHD display and 3GB of RAM for $299 and it runs Windows 10 Mobile

For a number of quite sound marketing reasons Windows-powered mobile phones rarely come near to the hardware in current Android powerhouses, but with the introduction of Windows 10 and sophisticated features like Continuum, this is set to quickly change. Samsung Galaxy S5 Zoom/K Zoom passes through the FCC

Now that the Samsung Galaxy S5 is out of the way, the next big things from the South Korean manufacturer will the usual spin offs like the Zoom, Active and Mini variants.
