Gold-painted Samsung Galaxy S5 hits all major US carriers

If you've been on the lookout for a Samsung Galaxy S5 in the US, but have so far failed to find one in the right color for you, you'll be glad to learn that you'll get another option starting from May 30. Today Samsung officially announced that this is the day when the gold-colored version of its latest flagship will be hitting the US shores.
The golden Samsung Galaxy S5 will be available on all major carriers - AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile, Verizon Wireless, and U.S. Cellular. However, if you are set on teaming with Verizon, you should know that the carrier won't sell the new carrier directly, so you'll need to go through an indirect retailer (Samsung assures there'll be no shortage of those).


The pricing of the new gold version, should be in line with the other colors, which have been on sale for a while now. This means that more often than not you should be able to find a deal which gets you the phone for $99 with a two-year contract. If you want to go contract-free, you are looking at spending about $699.

Jak and Daxter get deported.  The Jak and Daxter series stands as a testament to the awesome games of the PlayStation 2 generation, and also serves as the turning point when we really started to recognize Naughty Dog as a top-tier developer. Samsung Galaxy Alpha to be unveiled on August 4

The incredibly often leaked Samsung Galaxy Alpha (seen on the right in the image below) could become official a lot sooner than you may have expected, if a new rumor is to be believed. The device, which will introduce the world to the concept of Samsung using metal in an Android smartphone, is said to be announced on August 4 - that's the coming Monday, by the way. It's also earlier than the August 13 date a past rumor mentioned. This may of course have something to do with the fact that the Galaxy Note 4 will get unveiled at the beginning of September. Making the Alpha official around one month before that allows it to have the spotlight all to itself for a few weeks, after which the new Note will become the talk of the town. ASUS announces C200 and C300 Chromebooks

After Lenovo announced two budget Chromebooks, It’s ASUS’ turn. The company announced two new models of its own, the C200 and the C300, that start at just $250. C200 has a 11.6-inch display with 1366×768 resolution whereas the C300 maintains that resolution but goes to 13.3-inch. Both models run on Intel Bay Trail-M processor clocked at 2.42GHz, 2GB RAM, 16GB storage, dual-band 802.11a/b/g/n/ac Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, 1 x USB 2.0, 1 x USB 3.0, HDMI 1.4 and an SD card slot.
