KitKat update for Samsung Galaxy Mega 6.3 now rolling out



Samsung is rolling out Android 4.4.2 KitKat for its devices one by one and the new winner is the Galaxy Mega 6.3 phablet. The device launched last year on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean). The software update has a build number I9200XXUDNE4 and is currently available in Russia through Samsung Kies. Barring any unexpected issues, more countries should join that list shortly.
You can check for updates on the About screen in the Settings menu for over-the-air updates, though there are no reports that it's available yet. The other option, obviously, is to hook up your Samsung Galaxy Mega 6.3 to a computer running Kies.
The update brings the typical KitKat goodies, including improved performance, better battery life, support for wireless printing, a camera shortcut on the lockscreen and more, basically the same stuff other updated phones like the Galaxy S4 Active recently received.

Yesterday, Apple launched the new iPhones - the iPhone 6s and the iPhone 6s Plus - along with a brand new iPad Pro. Usually, Apple also has a bunch of new accessories to go with their new products, and they have this time too, including some cases, keyboard covers, and docks. iPhone 6s Leather and Silicone Case Apple added a bunch of color options to its range of leather and silicon cases for the iPhone 6s and 6s Plus. Jak and Daxter get deported.  The Jak and Daxter series stands as a testament to the awesome games of the PlayStation 2 generation, and also serves as the turning point when we really started to recognize Naughty Dog as a top-tier developer. Samsung Galaxy Alpha to be unveiled on August 4

The incredibly often leaked Samsung Galaxy Alpha (seen on the right in the image below) could become official a lot sooner than you may have expected, if a new rumor is to be believed. The device, which will introduce the world to the concept of Samsung using metal in an Android smartphone, is said to be announced on August 4 - that's the coming Monday, by the way. It's also earlier than the August 13 date a past rumor mentioned. This may of course have something to do with the fact that the Galaxy Note 4 will get unveiled at the beginning of September. Making the Alpha official around one month before that allows it to have the spotlight all to itself for a few weeks, after which the new Note will become the talk of the town. ASUS announces C200 and C300 Chromebooks

After Lenovo announced two budget Chromebooks, It’s ASUS’ turn. The company announced two new models of its own, the C200 and the C300, that start at just $250. C200 has a 11.6-inch display with 1366×768 resolution whereas the C300 maintains that resolution but goes to 13.3-inch. Both models run on Intel Bay Trail-M processor clocked at 2.42GHz, 2GB RAM, 16GB storage, dual-band 802.11a/b/g/n/ac Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, 1 x USB 2.0, 1 x USB 3.0, HDMI 1.4 and an SD card slot.
