International Galaxy S4 Active gets KitKat update

The Samsung I9295 Galaxy S4 Active, the international version of the IP67-certified flagship of 2013, is finally getting its Android 4.4.2 KitKat update as we speak.
The update - software version I9295XXUCNE5 - is seeding across phones in the Netherlands and more countries are expected to follow in a gradual rollout. KitKat brings white status bar icons, fullscreen album art when playing music, the option of choosing the default messaging or launcher apps, wireless printing, speed improvements and battery improvements.

You can check for the update in the Software update section of the menu in the smartphone, through Samsung's desktop Kies app. You can also manually download the firmware and push it to your device if you know your way around manual flashing - the files are available at the source link below.
It's been a long time coming for Samsung Galaxy S4 Active users. The device got its update on AT&T's network, which the carrier later pulled, while the non-water resistant Samsung Galaxy S4 has been enjoying KitKat-y goodness since February.
