Nokia X2’s tech specs leaked in benchmark


Nokia’s first foray into the world of Android was a bit underwhelming from a raw technical standpoint.
The Finnish company is clearly reserving their higher-end offerings for Windows Phone, but it seems as if they wanted to test the waters by offering a device with Google’s mobile OS. The origina Nokia X was a budget friendly handset priced to move units.
When word of the Nokia X2 broke out, it got us to thinking that maybe Nokia would try and bring a higher-spec’d Android phone to market. However, if this leak is to be believed, the Nokia X2 will be another entry-level smartphone.
We already knew that phone will be powered by a Qualcomm MSM8210 chip, but we didn’t know anything else, until now.
The AnTuTu benchmark report reveals that the Nokia X2 will be rocking Android 4.3, a a dual-core CPU capable at running from 300-1190MHz, an Adreno 305 GPU, 1GB RAM/4GB ROM, and a 4.3” display with 800x480 resolution. On the camera side of things, the X2 will have a 5MP primary unit and a 0.3 selfie snapper.
Any hopes of Nokia taking Android to a flagship status were dashed with this latest report, however, the X2 will still probably be a success if Nokia continues to price the handset aggressively.

Galaxy A9 Pro international variant is now Bluetooth certified

The Samsung SM-A910F - which is alleged to be the international variant of the Galaxy A9 Pro (SM-A9100) - has now received certification from the Bluetooth Special Interest Group (SIG), indicating an imminent launch. This comes just a few weeks after the handset (both standard and dual-SIM models) received Wi-Fi certification from the WiFi Alliance (WFA). Prior to that, the phone was spotted on India's import/export tracking website Zauba. Sadly, pricing and availability details of the Samsung SM-A910F aren't yet known. iPhone SE teardown shows hardware ranging from iPhone 5 to 6s

The Apple iPhone SE is a 6s in a 5s body, but Chipworks dug into the internals and it turns out the story is more complicated than that. It straddles multiple generations - from the iPhone 5 selfie camera to the iPhone 6s chipset, a whopping four generations. The Apple A9 chipset is brand new and the SK Hynix-made LPDDR4 2GB memory matches the 6s as well. The NFC, audio chips and motion sensor are from that generation as well. The storage appears to be from the 6s as well, but an earlier 19nm chip instead of the 15nm being shipped now. The Qualcomm modem from the earlier iPhone 6 model while the touchscreen controller goes back to the iPhone 5s. 12.2-inch version of the Lenovo Yoga Book with Android shows up at Amazon priced at just $299.99

At IFA last year, Lenovo turned some heads with its Yoga Book, a 2-in-1 laptop / tablet hybrid that doesn't have an actual physical keyboard. Instead, its so-called Halo Keyboard is flat and doubles as a writing surface, complete with predictive input and autocorrect functionality. So far the Yoga Book has been available with a 10.2-inch 1080p touchscreen, running either Windows or Android. A model with Chrome OS on board is coming this year, but also a bigger one too. While the Chrome OS Yoga Book has been confirmed by Lenovo already, a 12.2-inch Yoga Book has been listed by Amazon without any proper official introduction. HTC One (M8) for Windows now available on Amazon for $50

Verizon's HTC One (M8) for Windows is now available for purchase at Amazon US. It costs just $49.99 with a two-year contract. You can get the contract-free (but Verizon-branded) model for $599.99. The smartphone went official a week ago as a Verizon exclusive. Its hardware absolutely identical with its Android-powered sibling - the HTC One (M8) flagship, but runs on Windows Phone 8.1. As we already know n the HTC One (M8) for Windows will be a limited time exclusive, as AT&T has already confirmed it will be selling it later this year. Today various reports suggest the phone is coming to T-Mobile and Sprint, too.
