LG confirms 2014 release for G Flex 2 and Vu 4

Yesterday was a big day for LG - it announced its latest flagship - the 5.5" QHD LG G3. And while all the eyes were gathered in London to watch the official premiere, LG has held a separate event in Seoul.

There, in addition to the local LG G3 announcement, the company shared its future smartphone plans. Apparently LG is working on G Flex 2 and Vu 4 with both devices scheduled to hit the shelves during the second half of 2014.
The notorious @evleaks has already mentioned that the G Flex 2 could be bringing another innovation, better than the curved display and the self-healing coating in Q1, 2015, but the date was obviously off the mark. Then again, if LG plans to release the G Flex 2 in Korea for the holiday season, the rest of the world will probably get it in the beginning of the 2015, as suggested.
Meanwhile the Vu phablets are hardly a success story outside Korea, but in its homeland LG has accomplished satisfactory sales with those and that's probably while it is preparing another Vu in the pipeline.
There is no additional info on the G Flex 2 and Vu 4, but we guess we'll know more as the announcements come closer.

Samsung Galaxy Gear 2 to come with new design, flexible display

The Samsung Galaxy Gear 2 smartwatch has been rumored to come out in tandem with the Galaxy S5. Now a new publication in a Korean media, which claims to be in touch with Samsung insiders, the new generation smartwatch will be announced in March or April. The announcement is likely to happen in London, probably at an Unpacked event. The insider also claims that Samsung has felt the need to radically change the design of the upcoming Gear. The overhaul will include a new, flexible OLED display. Additionally, the report says that Samsung has gone to quite the extremes and has changed all the parts that look “dull or boring.” Previous rumors have hinted that the Gear 2 might be 15-20% thinner than the first generation. 10,000 Xperia Z3 and Z3 Compact owners can test drive Android Marshmallow

This way for the Marshmallow trial. Sony's Concept for Android initiative will allow 10,000 Xperia Z3 and Xperia Z3 Compact owners to beta test Android's new major version. The new software is built on feedback Sony received from the initiative launched earlier this year. If you want in, you'll have to check in with the Concept Sign-up app . G4 bootloops are caused by hardware issue, LG vows to repair affected units

Many owners of the LG G4 have complained about a bootloop issue, but so far without receiving any assistance whatsoever from the Korean smartphone maker. Well, that's finally changed. LG has now acknowledged the bootloop issue, and after a thorough investigation has concluded that a hardware problem is to blame. Specifically, the bootloops are caused by a "loose contact between components". The company has vowed to fix the problem for affected devices, with no additional cost for its customers of course. It turns out that the G4 units experiencing this are not from one particular retail partner - they can be among those sold by carriers, or third-parties.
