App Store Update: September 26

Shadowrun Returns arrives, Limbo gains controller support and tons more freebies and new releases are here in the mega-sized Thursday ASU.

Shadowrun Returns – ($9.99)
After a wildly successful Kickstarter campaign finished with over 450% funding this past April, the revival of the Shadowrun franchise was assured. Shadowrun Returns then went on sale in PC form a few months ago, and we reviewed that version here. Now, the game has come to iOS devices as well! Grab your copy from the App Store (if you didn't already secure a download code by pitching in during the fundraiser).
Crazy Chicken: Pirates – ($0.99)
A foul band of fowl pirates have invaded the Caribbean, and it's up to you to snipe them from a distance:

Cat on a Diet – ($0.99)
Fat cat wants cookies! Help him gorge himself on goodies by slashing obstacles out of his way:
T.E.C 3001 – ($0.99)
Run through 3D levels as a robot . . .
Boson X – ($1.99)
. . . or as a man stuck inside a giant particle accelerator.

Finally, our last Game Debut of the day is Trace 2, a sequel to 2008's original Trace – both are platformers that allow you to draw your own platforms to go running and jumping across:

It's been over a year since we last featured this one, ack! Spy vs. Spy is a brilliant revival of the classics Black-hunts-White-and-vice-versa game design from decades ago, and it quickly claimed the #1 sales position in the Store when it launched in Summer 2012. Limbo – ($4.99)
One of the key points of praise in our review of this iOS port of Limbo was that it did touch screen controls so well. Still, there are certainly some out there who'd prefer a button-directed experience. Version 1.1 has now gone live for the game, and it adds support for iOS 7 game controllers.
