BF4 multiplayer to feature seven game modes, support for each to vary from 10 to 64 players. Developer DICE has laid bare the seven multiplayer game modes Battlefield 4 will ship with later this year. The details were published on the Battlefield Official Blog . The seven difference game modes will be playable across 10 maps, with all modes supported on all maps. Conquest Mode, described as “the quintessential Battlefield mode”, will be playable in the Battlefield 4 beta and is designed for 24 players on Xbox 360 and PS3 and 64 players on Xbox One, PS4 and PC. That's according to the game's lead designer Serkan Hassan, who made the claim when asked whether the game would be supported with additional location DLC in an interview with IGN. The PlayStation 4's controller is Garrett's newest weapon. The Thief reboot is being developed for both the PS3 and PS4, but the newer console's DualShock 4 controllers will provide a more immersive experience, a producer said. In Thief , Garrett's visibility to enemies is shown via a light gem, which brightens and darkens when Garrett is visible or hidden, respectively. The light bar on the DualShock 4 controller will reflect the in-game light gem, offering players a more tangible indicator as they move through the game's environments. Call for backup.  Narco Terror is a twin-stick shooter in which you blow things up. A lot. That’s really the most apt description I can give. As far as twin-stick shooters go, it doesn’t add much to the formula, but its premise of focusing less on precise aiming and more on strategically causing things to explode is a welcome twist. At its best, Narco Terror is a fun distraction, particularly when played with friends. At its worst, it’s a nearly unplayable storm of death after death. Fortunately, it’s much more commonly the former than the latter. The moral of the story is that doing drugs causes explosions. As its title suggests, Narco Terror puts us in the role of an FBI agent on a one-man offensive against a major drug cartel. This is, however, the only element of the story that is ever really expanded upon, and Narco Terror throws extra characters like his daughter or best friend (who have never been mentioned before) in when it needs an excuse to change

The zombie game remains an Xbox One exclusive. Despite an erroneous report circulating the web that suggests otherwise, Dead Rising 3 is not coming to Xbox 360. "Reports from [Eurogamer Expo] that Dead Rising 3 will launch on Xbox 360 are false," reads a tweet sent out by Major Nelson. "It's an Xbox One exclusive - no plans for 360." Since it was announced at E3 , Dead Rising 3 has always been portrayed as an Xbox One exclusive. It's in development at Capcom Vancouver (the former Blue Castle Games), the same team responsible for Dead Rising 2 and its spin-offs, but unlike previous Dead Rising games, it's being published by Microsoft, not Capcom. IGN's most recent hands-on with the game came at the Tokyo Game Show. The demo showed, among other things, an improved framerate over what was on display at Gamescom.

Xbox One demo units may be coming to a location near you starting in October. After being leaked early through Xbox.com, Microsoft has formally announced an Xbox One tour that will allow gamers to go hands-on with its next-gen console ahead of its launch on November 22. The tour will span more than 75 cities in the United States, Canada, and Europe, including Los Angeles, New York City, Boston, and Berlin. The tour begins on October 1, runs for the remainder of the year, and consists of two different types of experiences. The "Area One" tour will allow gamers to try out the Xbox One's new controller and a number of Xbox One games, including Forza Motorsport 5, Dead Rising 3, and Killer Instinct. These events are going to feature live music "and more," and will be free to attend. They are, however, first-come, first-served, and require attendees to be 18 years or older.

Feel the next-gen burn!  Fitness games have tended to be a big deal on Kinect for Xbox 360, so it comes as no surprise that Microsoft has officially revealed its Xbox Fitness app, a subscription-based service for the Xbox One that lets you interact with popular fitness videos through the next-gen console's Kinect sensor. According to a post on Xbox Wire, Xbox Fitness will offer personalized program recommendations varying between 10 and 60 minutes in length, and its library of interactive videos comes courtesy of popular screamy trainers like Tony Horton, Shaun T, Jillian Michaels and Tracy Anderson. The app can "read your heart rate without a monitor, see which muscles are most engaged by measuring the power, force and transfer of weight in your body, and track the quality of your performance by measuring your balance, tempo and form," all via Kinect. Ubisoft Montreal highly values steadiness and consistency. Believing that consistency is critical, Watch Dogs developer Ubisoft Montreal is currently targeting 30 frames per second as the framerate in its debut title on next-generation consoles. "Right now the frame rate we're focusing on [is] a steady 30 [FPS]," said creative director Jonathan Morin in an interview with VideoGamer . "There's always a balance, especially for open world, between the simulation and the rest. I think for where we are, the most important thing is the steadiness and [ensuring] that it's always capped the same so when you play it it feels right."
