Samsung W2017 'Veyron' spotted with Snapdragon 820 this time

The Samsung Veyron has been dropping clues about itself for months now. Whether named for the car or the Grand Prix driver that inspired it, the Veyron is the Galaxy S7 reborn in clamshell form.
Last year Samsung unveiled the S6-based SM-W2016 and now the SM-W2017 is coming to conquer that niche market of people who want an old-fashioned flip phone and modern features.
The Veyron passed through Geekbench which recorded a Snapdragon 820 chipset with 4GB of RAM running Android 6.0.1. Earlier the phone was rumored to have an Exynos 8890 chipset, but considering China (the primary market for such a flip phone) got a Snapdragon-powered S7 this year, our money is on that chipset over the Exynos.
Last year's Samsung W2016 Anyway, through Zauba import info we know the phone will have a 4.2" Super AMOLED screen (inside and out). The phone will likely keep S7's camera, that is 12MP with OIS and 5MP on the front (though, with this factor you can just snap selfies with the main camera).

Future Nokias may have Carl Zeiss optics, but HMD is playing coy

Long before Huawei partnered with a legendary German camera brand, Nokia put Carl Zeiss-branded lenses on its phones. A recent Tweet led people to believe that partnership will not carry over to the HMD-made phones, but now there’s a glimmer of hope. It turns out that was a mistake - the tweet only meant that the current Nokias (6, 5 and 3) do not have Zeiss optics, not that new phones definitely will not have them. Of course, that’s not the same as confirming that they will, even though the tweet ends with a tantalizing “stay tuned”. If Zeiss does partner up with Nokia/HMD, the first child of that union will likely be the upcoming powerhouse of a phone scheduled for June. Source | Via

New rumor suggests OnePlus 3T will be cheaper in China

When the OnePlus 3T was announced last week, its US and European pricing information was revealed - the device will carry $439 and $479 price tag for the 64GB and 128GB variants, respectively, in the US, while in the EU the prices will be €439 and €479, respectively. Now, a new rumor has revealed the expected price tag the handset will carry in China. According to the rumor, the 64GB variant of the phone is expected to cost RMB 2,799 (around $405), while the 128GB model will set you back RMB 3,299 (around $480). The report adds that there's a possibility that the company might bring down the price of the 128GB variant to RMB 3,199 (around $465). MIUI 8 to arrive alongside Mi Max on May 10, Xiaomi confirms

We already know that the Xiaomi Mi Max - which is said to sport a mammoth 6.4-inch FullHD display - will be unveiled on May 10. However, turns out that Xiaomi will make a couple of more announcements that day - the company has confirmed that the next major iteration of its MIUI ROM as well as the Mi Band 2 will also be unveiled on May 10. "Evolving from the first version in 2010, MIUI has served as the operating system for over 150 million across the globe," a post on MIUI forum said. "On May 10, we will introduce you MIUI 8, with the features you always wanted and new designs beyond your imagination." Flipkart teases upcoming Moto E, will go on sale on May 14

We practically know everything about the Motorola Moto E now. The company's newest Android smartphone is expected to slow below the already low-priced Moto G. Indian online retailer Flipkart, which has exclusive rights to sell the Moto G and Moto X in India, has now started teasing the Moto E on their social media accounts. The teaser images don't mention the name but the outline of the phone matches all the leaked images we have seen. Flipkart is also suggesting replacing low-end feature phones with the Moto E, indicating a very low price point. The website says '4 days to go for the new Moto', meaning the phone will go on sale on May 14, even if the actual launch is on May 13. Report: Galaxy S8's facial recognition tech will be used for mobile payments

Last week, there were reports that the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S8 will feature facial recognition technology, which will be used to unlock the phone. Now, a new report is suggesting that the tech will be used for mobile payments as well.
