XDA-Devs member boots Android 7.0 Nougat on Sony Xperia SP

Nexus 5 owners, avert your eyes! Some cunning and devious member at XDA-Developers got Android 7.0 Nougat to boot on the Sony Xperia SP.
Don't remember the phone? It launched in early 2013 on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean and was officially updated only to 4.3 Jelly Bean. It has the impressive hardware of two Krait cores (1.7GHz) and 1GB of RAM.

And yet the dev - Adrian DC - took some time off working 6.0 Marshmallow to jump to 7.0. Naturally this is far more a proof of concept than an actual well-working ROM and it certainly isn't good for serving as a daily driver.

The Nexus 5, by comparison, launched in late 2013 and with much more capable hardware too (quad-core Krait, 2GB of RAM). But Google did not include it in the Nougat upgrade plans.
