Moto M shows up at TENAA with 5.5" screen, metal body, rear fingerprint scanner

Mere hours ago we reported on a rumor claiming that Lenovo is working on a new Moto-branded handset that will have a rear fingerprint scanner. And now exactly such a device has been spotted at TENAA, the Chinese agency akin to the US FCC.
However, the Moto M has been claimed to sport the model number XT1663 (and in fact this phone has been caught in a benchmark database too a while back). The smartphone seen at TENAA (and pictured below for your viewing pleasure) is the XT1662. So this may be another handset entirely, perhaps the Moto M Plus.
Or maybe this is the Moto M. Then again, it could be launched with any other branding. At this point, it's just not 100% certain what it will be called. On the other hand, what is obvious from TENAA's images is that we're dealing with a phone with a full body metal construction, and a slightly rounded back reminiscent of older Motorola devices.
As for specs, TENAA hasn't revealed much yet. The XT1662 has a 5.5-inch display, a 3,000 mAh battery, 4G LTE support, and it runs Android obviously (but the exact version isn't mentioned). Its dimensions are 151 x 75 x 8 mm.
If it is in any way related to the XT1663, then it might also get the MediaTek MT6750 chipset (with a 1.9 GHz octa-core Cortex-A53 CPU), 3GB of RAM, 32GB of storage, a 16 MP main camera, an 8 MP selfie shooter, and Marshmallow on board. All this said, do keep in mind that these two could end up being completely different devices.

NSA is able to install spyware on all iPhones

A leaked NSA document proves that the agency is capable of easily deploying spyware on all iPhones and can have access to user data including SMS messages, contacts, and even a user's location by utilizing cell tower information. What's even scarier is that the NSA can remotely access an iPhone's camera and microphone that is infected with the spyware. According to the leaked intel, the initiative, named DROPOUT JEEP, began in October of 2008. The document delineates that the NSA would need physical access to the device in order to install the software, which doesn't sound too bad. However, the German Magazine, Der Spiegel, which also published the DROPOUT JEEP data, believes that the NSA rerouted shipments of brand new iPhones before they went out to consumers to install the spyware. Samsung Galaxy Gear 2 to come with new design, flexible display

The Samsung Galaxy Gear 2 smartwatch has been rumored to come out in tandem with the Galaxy S5. Now a new publication in a Korean media, which claims to be in touch with Samsung insiders, the new generation smartwatch will be announced in March or April. The announcement is likely to happen in London, probably at an Unpacked event. The insider also claims that Samsung has felt the need to radically change the design of the upcoming Gear. The overhaul will include a new, flexible OLED display. 10,000 Xperia Z3 and Z3 Compact owners can test drive Android Marshmallow

G4 bootloops are caused by hardware issue, LG vows to repair affected units

Many owners of the LG G4 have complained about a bootloop issue, but so far without receiving any assistance whatsoever from the Korean smartphone maker. Well, that's finally changed. LG has now acknowledged the bootloop issue, and after a thorough investigation has concluded that a hardware problem is to blame.
