ZTE teases Axon 7 mini with dual-speaker for IFA event

While we already know that ZTE will unveil an audio-centric phone at this year's IFA conference in Berlin, the device might feature a dual-speaker setup like the big Axon 7.
Today the company released a teaser image that focuses on audio with a "2" over a stylized bookshelf speaker, which some of us took for a dual camera setup initially.

While roaming the IFA 2016 grounds as part of the press days we stumbled upon this huge poster hanging from the ceiling, which clearly showed the Axon 7 and Axon 7 mini, confirming that the petite flagship will be the centerpiece of the event (the big 7 is already official).

After a number of leaks, we have a good picture of what the the ZTE Axon 7 mini will be like. It can even be found already on pre-order in Germany though we would take the posted specs with a pinch of salt until ZTE confirms them officially.

Microsoft Office Mobile for Android drops Office 365 subscription requirement

Yesterday, Microsoft finally announced the Office suite of apps for the iPad, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint. But along with the new announcement, Microsoft also made a quiet change to its existing Android app. Just like its iOS counterparts, the Android version of the Office Mobile app required an Office 365 subscription to actually be used to create and edit documents. Surprisingly, Microsoft has dropped that requirement now, which means you can access the app fully without having to spend a dime. The app still only lets you create Word and Excel files, with no way to create or edit PowerPoints and all your files will be saved on your OneDrive instead of locally. Also, there isn’t really a version optimized for Android tablets yet. Still, it’s a free app so you can’t complain much about it.

Last year, we made our first Top 10 games of the year list and since then I have been looking forward to the next one. We are seeing a lot of incredible games being launched on the mobile platform across different genres, and it has never been a better time to be a mobile gamer or to write about them. This year too we have a solid collection of games for you. Games you may have seen in our reviews or our top apps and games of the week lists. It was both fun and difficult to go back through these and pick out the contenders for the best games of the year list, and then slowly whittle down that list to only ten.
