Microsoft Surface 3 drops to £319 in UK

If you are in the UK, and are planning to purchase the Microsoft Surface 3, here's a deal for you: the tablet is currently going for as low as £319 in the country. Retailer PC World is currently selling the device at that rate.
It's worth mentioning that the aforementioned price is for the 64GB model, which - if you compare - is being officially sold by Microsoft UK for £359. So, purchasing the tablet from PC World saves you £40.
In case you don't already know, Microsoft has already confirmed that the company will stop producing the Surface 3 tablet by the end of 2016.

Microsoft Office Mobile for Android drops Office 365 subscription requirement

Yesterday, Microsoft finally announced the Office suite of apps for the iPad, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint. But along with the new announcement, Microsoft also made a quiet change to its existing Android app. Just like its iOS counterparts, the Android version of the Office Mobile app required an Office 365 subscription to actually be used to create and edit documents. Surprisingly, Microsoft has dropped that requirement now, which means you can access the app fully without having to spend a dime. The app still only lets you create Word and Excel files, with no way to create or edit PowerPoints and all your files will be saved on your OneDrive instead of locally. Also, there isn’t really a version optimized for Android tablets yet. Still, it’s a free app so you can’t complain much about it.

Last year, we made our first Top 10 games of the year list and since then I have been looking forward to the next one. We are seeing a lot of incredible games being launched on the mobile platform across different genres, and it has never been a better time to be a mobile gamer or to write about them. This year too we have a solid collection of games for you. Games you may have seen in our reviews or our top apps and games of the week lists. It was both fun and difficult to go back through these and pick out the contenders for the best games of the year list, and then slowly whittle down that list to only ten.
