Sony Xperia X Compact image points to rebirth of the popular line

With the demise of Sony's Xperia Z series, it seemed that the beloved Z Compact phones are gone too. That may not be the case - a glimmer of hope appeared in the shape of a photo titled "Sony Xperia X Compact."
There are no specs yet, but a 4.6" screen is a safe bet. And if you look closely, you'll notice the phone uses the design of the rumored Xperia XR flagship rather than the Xperia X.

If this Compact is really based on the XR, then we're in for the first mini phone with Snapdragon 820 chipset, not to mention 4K video recording with the selfie camera and USB Type-C. No sub-5" Android comes close to that.
This is more than a mere rumor, the Sony Mobile's Czech website mentions the Sony Xperia X Compact along with a previously unheard of Xperia XZ (this could be the "XR" though).
We're packing our bags for IFA and we have tickets to Sony's press conference. We already have our fingers crossed that we'll see the Sony Xperia X Compact (and the Xperia XR with it).
