Nokia Normandy might be an Asha running Android

The rumor mill is churning at full force, and this time, Nokia and Android are the subject of conversation.
Allegedly, the Finnish manufacturer is looking for an operating system to beef up their budget Asha line and Android might end up as their platform of choice.
The first test device making use of the alternative OS is supposedly codenamed Nokia Normandy. If it gets to production, it will be released in a variety of colors (typical of Nokia's lower end offerings) and will have a 4-inch screen and dual SIM support. The product code for the phone is said to be RM-980.

Development on the Normany is lead by Egil Kvaleberg and Peter Skillman (UI), the same people who brought us the Asha line of phones.
This story should be taken with an entire tablespoon of salt, as getting this sort of a device into production would be highly unlikely considering that Nokia just recently decided to sell its smartphone business to Microsoft and the Finnish company will probably can the entire Asha lineup altogether.

Google Maps now has a bottom bar for real-time traffic and transit info

Google Maps is becoming more and more driving-friendly with latest updates. Lately we told you about some updates that brought parking availability on Android and Popular Times’ evolution into real-time data on iOS. But now this information will be even more accessible for you - Google is placing the Transit and Traffic buttons on a bottom bar, instead of the menu that has to be pulled from the left side. 10,000 Xperia Z3 and Z3 Compact owners can test drive Android Marshmallow

This way for the Marshmallow trial. Sony's Concept for Android initiative will allow 10,000 Xperia Z3 and Xperia Z3 Compact owners to beta test Android's new major version. The new software is built on feedback Sony received from the initiative launched earlier this year. If you want in, you'll have to check in with the Concept Sign-up app . It's first come, first serve so there's an element of urgency. Note that the test is limited to select European countries: Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Finland, Iceland, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, United Kingdom, Ireland or Germany. Original TV Shows Landing on Xbox in Early 2014

Halo series could launch soon. During an industry breakfast in Los Angeles, Microsoft's president of entertainment and digital, Nancy Tellem, said the planned original TV programming for the Xbox 360 and Xbox One will tentatively launch in early 2014. According to Variety , Tellem acknowledged the process to get the new shows on Xbox consoles has been "slower" than expected. G4 bootloops are caused by hardware issue, LG vows to repair affected units

Many owners of the LG G4 have complained about a bootloop issue, but so far without receiving any assistance whatsoever from the Korean smartphone maker. Well, that's finally changed. LG has now acknowledged the bootloop issue, and after a thorough investigation has concluded that a hardware problem is to blame. Specifically, the bootloops are caused by a "loose contact between components". The company has vowed to fix the problem for affected devices, with no additional cost for its customers of course. It turns out that the G4 units experiencing this are not from one particular retail partner - they can be among those sold by carriers, or third-parties.
