Different Assassin's Creed Games May Hit Current, Next-Gen in 2014 [rumored title]

Two separate games could be coming next year.

The Assassin's Creed series has already been annualized, but now we may be seeing two entries in the series being developed simultaneously — one for next-gen platforms (Xbox One/PS4) and one for current-gen platforms (Xbox 360/PS3).
Ubisoft Sofia producer Momchil Valentinov Gindyanov recently told Examiner that it was "definitely a possibility" that multiple Assassin's Creed titles were being developed in 2014. Examiner also reports that sources close to the matter say that the series is undergoing a "massive re-scope."
It's unclear whether or not this in addition to the planned 2014 HD re-release of Assassin's Creed III: Liberation (planned for Xbox 360, PS3, and PC).
