On Friday, November 22, 2013 the Xbox One will be released in 13 territories, the USA,Australia, Austria, Brazil, Canada, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Mexico, New Zealand, Spain and the UK. IGN's Xbox One Launch Guide is your one-stop shop for everything Xbox One. We will have videos, screens, reviews, previews and guides rolling out daily from surrounding launch day. All you have to do is show up here each day and watch as we cover, critique and celebrate the Xbox One's launch. In Europe and Mexico all Xbox One Day One Editions will be recieving a free copy of FIFA 14 to make up for the delay.

Samsung releases Gear 2 and Gear Fit SDK

Samsung Gear 2 and Gear 2 Neo went official just three days ago, running on a Tizen-based OS. This time around though Samsung has confirmed both smartwatches will support third-party apps. The lack of third-party apps was a major drawback on the first Gear watch and we are happy to see Samsung is changing its strategy. So, just as promised at the announcement, the SDK for the Gear 2 duo is now live. Even better, the SDK also supports the Tizen-based Galaxy Fit band, so it will also welcome third-party apps once it hits the shelves. Finally, Samsung is launching another SDK for the S-Health services. Both SDK kits are now available for download on Samsung’s Developer Portal.

Microsoft Office Mobile for Android drops Office 365 subscription requirement

Yesterday, Microsoft finally announced the Office suite of apps for the iPad, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint. But along with the new announcement, Microsoft also made a quiet change to its existing Android app. Just like its iOS counterparts, the Android version of the Office Mobile app required an Office 365 subscription to actually be used to create and edit documents. Surprisingly, Microsoft has dropped that requirement now, which means you can access the app fully without having to spend a dime. The app still only lets you create Word and Excel files, with no way to create or edit PowerPoints and all your files will be saved on your OneDrive instead of locally. Also, there isn’t really a version optimized for Android tablets yet. Still, it’s a free app so you can’t complain much about it.

These are some of the best apps and games of the week. Swype Swype 2.0 for Android brings with it two new features. The first is a theme store where users can purchase additional themes for the keyboard, including the new Star Trek theme. Second, there is now an emoji drawer, which allows you to pick and choose all the system emoji. Other than that there is also support for two new languages, improved auto-correct, and bug fixes. Price: $0.99 Download: Android Instagram Instagram 7.5 brought with it a major change for those who regularly use the platform. You can now upload images and videos in landscape or portrait orientation and are no longer restricted to the 1:1 square aspect ratio. All you have to do is click a button while picking the image from the gallery and you can upload it in the original aspect ratio (limited to 3:4 vertically).
