EA Plans to Resurrect Command & Conquer at New Studio

At least according to a support listing.

Information on EA's support site is leading to speculation that the recently-cancelled Command & Conquer game may still be released.
Though EA cancelled development on the game at the end of October and shuttered Victory Studios, it now appears the title may not be as dead as first thought.
A post on EA Support spotted by CNCNZ detailing refunds for any Alpha testers that spent money also contains the following interesting line:
"For those of you who bought The C&C Ultimate Collection, your early access to the beta will be honored once production of this title resumes under a new studio."
What does this mean? It's possible it could just mean the franchise isn't dead and anyone that supported the recently-deceased game will be thanked down the line... or possibly the free-to-play re-imagining of the series is set to make a comeback.
We've reached out to EA for comment and will update the story when we hear back.
