A Foxconn factory reportedly stops iPhone 5c production

The production of the iPhone 5c reportedly took yet another hit, according to DigiTimes. First, in the beginning of October we heard rumors Apple is halving the production of the iPhone 5c due to the low user demand and sales.
Just few days ago we learned Apple is cutting the iPhone 5c production in Foxconn's Zhengzhou factory from 50,000 per day down to just 8,000 per day.

Now a new report comes in, suggesting that the same Zhengzhou factory is going to cease all iPhone 5c production and will be switching to iPhone 5s instead.
Even though Apple earnings and sales are still amazingly high, we never actually learned how the plastic iPhone 5c is doing on the market as the company doesn't provide breakdown of its sales by model.
It seems the plastic iPhone isn't doing all so well - something that isn't going to surprise anyone who has had the chance to spend some time with it. The company earnings are safe, though, as the iPhone 5s is doing excellently, which probably was the plan in the first place. If Apple fails to react to the poor iPhone 5c performance it will be all but certain that the company never meant to diversify its portfolio with it, but just make sure the iPhone 5s gets all the attention.

Galaxy A9 Pro international variant is now Bluetooth certified

The Samsung SM-A910F - which is alleged to be the international variant of the Galaxy A9 Pro (SM-A9100) - has now received certification from the Bluetooth Special Interest Group (SIG), indicating an imminent launch. This comes just a few weeks after the handset (both standard and dual-SIM models) received Wi-Fi certification from the WiFi Alliance (WFA). Prior to that, the phone was spotted on India's import/export tracking website Zauba. Sadly, pricing and availability details of the Samsung SM-A910F aren't yet known. iPhone SE teardown shows hardware ranging from iPhone 5 to 6s

The Apple iPhone SE is a 6s in a 5s body, but Chipworks dug into the internals and it turns out the story is more complicated than that. It straddles multiple generations - from the iPhone 5 selfie camera to the iPhone 6s chipset, a whopping four generations. The Apple A9 chipset is brand new and the SK Hynix-made LPDDR4 2GB memory matches the 6s as well. The NFC, audio chips and motion sensor are from that generation as well. The storage appears to be from the 6s as well, but an earlier 19nm chip instead of the 15nm being shipped now. The Qualcomm modem from the earlier iPhone 6 model while the touchscreen controller goes back to the iPhone 5s. 12.2-inch version of the Lenovo Yoga Book with Android shows up at Amazon priced at just $299.99

At IFA last year, Lenovo turned some heads with its Yoga Book, a 2-in-1 laptop / tablet hybrid that doesn't have an actual physical keyboard. Instead, its so-called Halo Keyboard is flat and doubles as a writing surface, complete with predictive input and autocorrect functionality. So far the Yoga Book has been available with a 10.2-inch 1080p touchscreen, running either Windows or Android. A model with Chrome OS on board is coming this year, but also a bigger one too. While the Chrome OS Yoga Book has been confirmed by Lenovo already, a 12.2-inch Yoga Book has been listed by Amazon without any proper official introduction. It's not available yet, but it does have a price: $299.99 running Android. That's oddly cheaper than what the 10-inch Yoga Book costs with Google's OS, namely $499. HTC One (M8) for Windows now available on Amazon for $50

Verizon's HTC One (M8) for Windows is now available for purchase at Amazon US. It costs just $49.99 with a two-year contract. You can get the contract-free (but Verizon-branded) model for $599.99. The smartphone went official a week ago as a Verizon exclusive. Its hardware absolutely identical with its Android-powered sibling - the HTC One (M8) flagship, but runs on Windows Phone 8.1. As we already know n the HTC One (M8) for Windows will be a limited time exclusive, as AT&T has already confirmed it will be selling it later this year. Today various reports suggest the phone is coming to T-Mobile and Sprint, too.
