Mass-market HTC One in Gold goes official

This just in - a golden-colored HTC One becomes official, courtesy of HTC itself. This isn't the 24-carat Gold Genie version, nor the 18-carat MOBO one, which we handled. This is a gold-colored aluminum HTC One, which we've already seen leaked in images.


The device will join the new Blue and Red and the classic Silver and Black on the shelves. Underneath the newly colored is just a champagne-colored HTC One with a 1080p 4.7" screen, quad-core Snapdragon 600 and 4 MP camera with Ultrapixels and OIS.
The device will be released across Europe through a number of retailers and carrier but specific availability information should be coming later today.

For a number of quite sound marketing reasons Windows-powered mobile phones rarely come near to the hardware in current Android powerhouses, but with the introduction of Windows 10 and sophisticated features like Continuum, this is set to quickly change. Higher-end offers, like the Acer Jade Primo are starting to appear and it naturally, it was a matter of time before China OEM's enter the market as well. Its "Vowney" model was first spotted a few months ago and if rumors are true, it does promise to dual-boot Android and Windows 10 on quite a capable hardware platform. The Sony Xperia Z2 is finally here and despite coming to market just five months after the Xperia Z1 , it improves quite a few bits of the package making for a very tempting upgrade. Now that the Samsung Galaxy S5 is out of the way, the next big things from the South Korean manufacturer will the usual spin offs like the Zoom, Active and Mini variants.
