Samsung Galaxy Note 4 stars in very short hands-on video

The rumor mill sees Samsung's Galaxy Note 4 teaser videos and raises a short hands-on video. The video comes from Vietnam and features the phablet in a dummy box that conceals its design.


To the right of the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 is an S Pen stylus in a black/gold color scheme. The stylus has a button, same as before.
The device itself is the N910H, which should be based on Exynos 5433. Samsung's new chipset beat Qualcomm's Snapdragon 805 in leaked AnTuTu benchmarks. There's going to be a Snapdragon 805 version too.
The Samsung Galaxy Note 4 will be announced at IFA on September 3. It's expected to have a 5.7" Super AMOLED screen with QHD resolution (1,440 x 2,560 pixels, 515ppi), 16MP OIS camera and strange, unique sensors like a retinal scanner and a UV light sensor.

Google Pixel C tablet makes it to the UK, yours from £399

After having become available to purchase in the US yesterday, Google's Pixel C tablet is now also up for grabs in the UK. As is always the case with these things, the pricing is different across the pond. In the UK, the 32GB version of the tablet can be yours for £399, while the 64GB model goes for £479. The two keyboard docks - regular and folio - are both sold separately and priced at the same £119. Don't call it XCOM. I played through The Bureau: XCOM Declassified 's entire floundering tactical shooter campaign wondering how it planned to pull off a plausible prequel backstory to the freshly rebooted XCOM universe. When I got to the end, it didn't even seem to try, content to let us wonder why this 1960s version of XCOM didn't bother to tell 2010s XCOM (of XCOM: Enemy Unknown) that hostile aliens exist and that there's a closet full of working plasma guns somewhere. Not making sense doesn't seem to bother The Bureau, either in story or in its flawed attempt to use permanent death mechanics and strangely shoddy construction. But it sure bothered me. ...
