Refurbished 32GB Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 12.2 on sale for $348

A flash sale of refurbished Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 12.2 tablets is currently on its way. The sale is for the 32GB variant of the slate and is set to expire in about 3 hours.

The tablet is offered for just $348, over $200 down from its regular price of $650. That’s 46% off, but sadly, the promotion is only available for those living in the US.
The Galaxy Tab Pro 12.2 packs an Exynos 5 Octa chipset with a 1.9GHz quad-core Cortex-A15 and 1.3GHz quad-core Cortex-A7 CPU. The 12.2″ screen is of 2560 x 1600 pixel resolution and the tablet runs Android 4.4 KitKat out of the box.

Microsoft Office Mobile for Android drops Office 365 subscription requirement

Yesterday, Microsoft finally announced the Office suite of apps for the iPad, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint. But along with the new announcement, Microsoft also made a quiet change to its existing Android app. Just like its iOS counterparts, the Android version of the Office Mobile app required an Office 365 subscription to actually be used to create and edit documents. Surprisingly, Microsoft has dropped that requirement now, which means you can access the app fully without having to spend a dime. The app still only lets you create Word and Excel files, with no way to create or edit PowerPoints and all your files will be saved on your OneDrive instead of locally. Also, there isn’t really a version optimized for Android tablets yet. Still, it’s a free app so you can’t complain much about it.

Stealth for suckers.  A mere 45 minutes into Dark , I found myself confronted with what may be the strangest tip I've ever seen in a stealth-action game: "Some enemies don't move at all, but instead just stand there looking in one direction." That's the kind of thing you'd expect to see in a harshly negative review, but here was Dark , slapping it right there on the screen and apparently taking pride in it. Hey... that’s my job! At least it’s consistent – there’s a thread of obliviousness to its own failure that runs through every layer of the experience. Dark’s faults don't slink around in the shadows like its vampire protagonist; they prance around in the daylight with all the nonchalance of the Care Bears. Samsung releases Gear 2 and Gear Fit SDK

Samsung Gear 2 and Gear 2 Neo went official just three days ago, running on a Tizen-based OS. This time around though Samsung has confirmed both smartwatches will support third-party apps. The lack of third-party apps was a major drawback on the first Gear watch and we are happy to see Samsung is changing its strategy. So, just as promised at the announcement, the SDK for the Gear 2 duo is now live. Even better, the SDK also supports the Tizen-based Galaxy Fit band, so it will also welcome third-party apps once it hits the shelves. Finally, Samsung is launching another SDK for the S-Health services. Both SDK kits are now available for download on Samsung’s Developer Portal.
