New Firefox Beta for Android lets you add services to its home screen

Chrome for Android got a new beta version yesterday, and now it’s the turn of one of its biggest competitors – Firefox. The guys at Mozilla released a new Firefox Beta in the Play Store, and it comes with a new feature that lets you further customize the content you see in the browser’s home screen.

Now you can add Web content from many sources such as websites, feeds, and services, and each of those will get its very own panel in the start screen of Firefox for Android.
Examples of stuff that’s already up for grabs include Instagram, Pocket, Vimeo, and Wikipedia. You’re also able to pick which of your home screen pages is the default, so you won’t need to swipe to get to it when you launch the browser.

Additionally, you have the possibility to reorder pages, as well as hide some or all of them. New home screen pages are installed like other add-ons, from that particular menu in the app. The Mozilla website hosts a collection of home screen panels, though only seven items are available at the moment.
That number will surely grow, though, as there’s a new API out for developers to use in creating new home screen pages. This in effect has become a whole new class of add-ons for Firefox.
The other new thing in the latest beta for Android is the support for switching between languages without having to restart the browser.

Galaxy A9 Pro international variant is now Bluetooth certified

The Samsung SM-A910F - which is alleged to be the international variant of the Galaxy A9 Pro (SM-A9100) - has now received certification from the Bluetooth Special Interest Group (SIG), indicating an imminent launch. This comes just a few weeks after the handset (both standard and dual-SIM models) received Wi-Fi certification from the WiFi Alliance (WFA). Prior to that, the phone was spotted on India's import/export tracking website Zauba. Sadly, pricing and availability details of the Samsung SM-A910F aren't yet known. iPhone SE teardown shows hardware ranging from iPhone 5 to 6s

The Apple iPhone SE is a 6s in a 5s body, but Chipworks dug into the internals and it turns out the story is more complicated than that. It straddles multiple generations - from the iPhone 5 selfie camera to the iPhone 6s chipset, a whopping four generations. The Apple A9 chipset is brand new and the SK Hynix-made LPDDR4 2GB memory matches the 6s as well. The NFC, audio chips and motion sensor are from that generation as well. The storage appears to be from the 6s as well, but an earlier 19nm chip instead of the 15nm being shipped now. The Qualcomm modem from the earlier iPhone 6 model while the touchscreen controller goes back to the iPhone 5s. 12.2-inch version of the Lenovo Yoga Book with Android shows up at Amazon priced at just $299.99

At IFA last year, Lenovo turned some heads with its Yoga Book, a 2-in-1 laptop / tablet hybrid that doesn't have an actual physical keyboard. Instead, its so-called Halo Keyboard is flat and doubles as a writing surface, complete with predictive input and autocorrect functionality. So far the Yoga Book has been available with a 10.2-inch 1080p touchscreen, running either Windows or Android. A model with Chrome OS on board is coming this year, but also a bigger one too. While the Chrome OS Yoga Book has been confirmed by Lenovo already, a 12.2-inch Yoga Book has been listed by Amazon without any proper official introduction. It's not available yet, but it does have a price: $299.99 running Android. That's oddly cheaper than what the 10-inch Yoga Book costs with Google's OS, namely $499. HTC One (M8) for Windows now available on Amazon for $50

Verizon's HTC One (M8) for Windows is now available for purchase at Amazon US. It costs just $49.99 with a two-year contract. You can get the contract-free (but Verizon-branded) model for $599.99. The smartphone went official a week ago as a Verizon exclusive. Its hardware absolutely identical with its Android-powered sibling - the HTC One (M8) flagship, but runs on Windows Phone 8.1. As we already know n the HTC One (M8) for Windows will be a limited time exclusive, as AT&T has already confirmed it will be selling it later this year. Today various reports suggest the phone is coming to T-Mobile and Sprint, too.
