HTC press event on August 19, expect One M8 with WP



HTC just sent out press invites for an event in New York on August 19. Then, the company is anticipated to announce a Windows Phone based on the HTC One (M8).
In fact, we are no strangers to the concept, as multiple rumors and evidence have accumulated over the past few months. The phone shares a lot of traits with its Android counterpart and is expected to feature a Snapdragon 801 chipset, 2GB of RAM, 16/32GB memory and a 5" 1080p display.
The phone is rumored to launch on Verizon running Windows Phone 8.1 GDR1. Microsoft's latest software update adds support for smart cases, which in HTC's situation enables it to utilize its DotView case in a WP environment.
There's no additional information when we should expect the phone to launch or how much should it cost. Additionally, we hope the phone makes it to other carriers and eventually ends up with GSM support, too.
