8-inch Kingsing W8 tablet runs Windows 8 on a $100 budget

It may sound unlikely but some manufacturers of Windows 8 tablets are trying to bring the price fight to Android with $100 tablets. Back in June we saw the 8″ Emdoor EM-i8080 and now the Kingsing W8 enters the stage.
The Kingsing W8 is powered by a quad-core Intel Bay Trail-T processor clocked at 1.8GHz paired with Intel HD graphics. This is proper Windows 8 too, not the failed RT branch.
Unfortunately, just like the Emdoor it has just 1GB of RAM (very little for a modern Windows setup) and just 16GB of built-in storage. You can expand that with SDXC cards, but those aren’t as fast as eMMC so app will run slower.
The screen is an 8″ IPS LCD with 1,280 x 800 pixels resolution. The tablet has a duo of 2MP cameras – one on the front and one on the back.
On the connectivity side the Kingsing W8 has a 3G modem (GSM, CDMA and Chinese TD-SCDMA are supported). There’s also Wi-Fi b/g/n and Bluetooth 4.0, plus microUSB and microHDMI ports.
The tablet measures 207.5 x 122.6 x 10mm and packs a 4,500mAh battery, which should give you around 6-8 hours of usage. Unlike the Emdoor, it only has a single speaker on the back.
