LG G6 to be launched in the US on April 7, no white color option

The LG G6 is selling by the thousands in its home country already, but the US isn't getting any of that 18:9 Full Vision goodness until April 7. It was the rumored launch date for the States since well before the phone's announcement, but @evleaks now has the press render to prove it.

A date displayed on the lockscreen is a common way of conveying the message without actually saying it explicitly, and Evan Blass rarely gets anything wrong, so April 7 it (most likely) is.
The disappointing bit is that the Mystic White color option apparently won't be available on the US market. That warranted a separate tweet for those that didn't get the hint - just the Ice Platinum and Astro Black versions are in the render. Oh, well.

Future Nokias may have Carl Zeiss optics, but HMD is playing coy

Image
Long before Huawei partnered with a legendary German camera brand, Nokia put Carl Zeiss-branded lenses on its phones. A recent Tweet led people to believe that partnership will not carry over to the HMD-made phones, but now there’s a glimmer of hope. It turns out that was a mistake - the tweet only meant that the current Nokias (6, 5 and 3) do not have Zeiss optics, not that new phones definitely will not have them. Of course, that’s not the same as confirming that they will, even though the tweet ends with a tantalizing “stay tuned”. If Zeiss does partner up with Nokia/HMD, the first child of that union will likely be the upcoming powerhouse of a phone scheduled for June. Source | Via
