Samsung expected to debut Android Wear-powered Gear Live smartwatch at Google I/O

Google I/O continues to draw near, and the leaks keep coming. The latest involves not just Motorola or LG announcing a smartwatch at the event, but Samsung as well.

Like the Moto 360 and LG G Watch, the alleged upcoming Samsung Gear Live is expected to run on Google’s Android Wear platform.
What’s more, a few Gear Live specs have also leaked:

  • Heart Rate Meter
  • Software : Android Wear with Google Services: Google Now, Gmail, Hangouts, Google Maps, Google Voice
The device is rumored to start selling on July 7, which would be quite a step up compared to Samsung’s Gear 2 and Gear Fit launch, which took took over a month and a half to go retail after their MWC announcement.
