Nokia Glance Background beta is now over, app remains available

Nokia Beta Labs released the Glance Background app last October. It spices up the Lumia-exclusive Glance screen with a background.

The Glance Background was in beta phase since the official release and its trial is now over.
Luckily the Glance Background Beta app will remain available for free in the Store though it won’t be receiving any more updates. There is no word on an final non-beta version or whether the background options will make it to the next Glance Screen version or not.
Nokia Glance Background is compatible with all Lumia Amber-running and above smartphones sans the Lumia 520 and Lumia 625. Keep in mind though, that adding a wallpaper on the Glance Screen though your Lumia power consumption may increase a lot.
Note that if you decided on uninstalling the beta version of the Glance Background, you should turn it off before you delete the app otherwise you’ll have to install it again in order to remove the stuck photo.

Galaxy A9 Pro international variant is now Bluetooth certified

The Samsung SM-A910F - which is alleged to be the international variant of the Galaxy A9 Pro (SM-A9100) - has now received certification from the Bluetooth Special Interest Group (SIG), indicating an imminent launch. This comes just a few weeks after the handset (both standard and dual-SIM models) received Wi-Fi certification from the WiFi Alliance (WFA). Prior to that, the phone was spotted on India's import/export tracking website Zauba. Sadly, pricing and availability details of the Samsung SM-A910F aren't yet known. Opera Max celebrates 50 million Android users with VIP mode

Opera announced that their data-saving app Opera Max reached 50 million active users. Along with that it updated the app which now has VIP mode for unlimited data savings and privacy. Opera was always aiming to compress the web. With their Opera Max free VPN application you are able to lower your data usage when browsing and streaming audio and video. The only requirement is to tap a button every 12 hours to lengthen you data-saving experience. When tapped, the app shows various ads which are the main income for the data-compressing servers of the Norwegian software company. Surgeon Simulator for iPad is a port of the popular game that was released on Steam last year. Although the game claims to be a simulator, that couldn’t be farther from the truth. The game had you performing hilarious operations on an unsuspecting patient in ways that would send an actual surgeon or patient reeling in horror. How to Use PS4 Remote Play

PlayStation Vita Remote Play allows PS4 users to play console games through their PS Vita. After updating software on both platforms to the most recent firmware, you will find a new prompt on the PS Vita that states "PS4 Link". Clicking on this will search for an active PlayStation 4 in proximity range.  You must allow your PS4 and Vita to link up first, however. Go into your PlayStation 4's Add Device screen to find a temporary code that you can input on your PS Vita device.
