Civilization Revolution 2 lands on iOS on July 2, is also on its way to Android

There’s a sequel to Sid Meier’s Civilization Revolution game from 2008 coming very soon – and it will be exclusive to mobile platforms.

Civilization Revolution 2 will make its debut on iOS on July 2, and an Android version has been promised too (though without an actual release date to speak of).
The new game will aim to build upon the success that its predecessor has seen in the iTunes App Store, where it’s consistently been one of the most popular turn-based strategy offerings.
Since Civilization Revolution 2 has been developed from the ground up with mobile platforms in mind (and not consoles like the first iteration), you should expect to see intuitive controls and a very user-friendly UI, designed specifically for touchscreens.
The core tactical elements of the original game will be retained, along with the 16 historical leaders that were featured the first time around (including Abraham Lincoln, Gandhi, and Napoleon). New names have been added, though – Churchill and Kennedy for example.
Civilization Revolution 2 will let you lead a civilization from the dawn of mankind and into the modern age, while going up against history’s most (in)famous figures. You’ll wage war, conduct diplomacy, and discover and use new technologies while racing to build the most powerful empire the world has ever seen.

The Lenovo P2 with a mammoth 5,100mAh battery and Huawei's Mate 9 flagship smartphone are both now available for purchase in the UK. Carrier Three UK has both devices listed on its website. Specifically, the Mate 9 is available in Space Gray color option with 64GB storage. As for pricing, it's available on contract, with plans beginning from as low as £31.00 a month (£99.00 upfront.). Video shot on LG V20 details the advantages of Android 7.0 Nougat

With no IFA to worry about, LG is setting up for its own September 6 party and it's cooking up some nougat - but the recipe is half about actual nougat and half about how awesome the new LG V20 will be. It will be the first phone to launch with Android 7.0 Nougat (no Nexus event yet). There's a heavy emphasis on multitasking - fast switching between apps (double tap the App switcher key), split pop-up video, quick notification replies, drag and drop between apps and more. The event will be held in San Francisco and Seoul and will come just after the bustle of IFA has died down. The V20 will have V10's secondary screen, its dual selfie camera AND G5's dual back camera for good measure. Samsung Reveals the Galaxy Gear Smartwatch

Offers voice-activated phone calls and text messaging. During its Unpacked 2013 Episode 2 event in Berlin on Wednesday, Samsung showed off the Galaxy Gear smartwatch . The device allows for hands-free calls, text messages, and emails without removing your synced Galaxy smartphone from your pocket. A 1.63-inch 320 x 320 AMOLED display is worked into six different colors of bands, and accepts simple swipes to complete tasks. Backed up by an 800 MHz processor, the Galaxy Gear includes a 1.9 megapixel camera. While there's certainly a question as to the durability of the lens--the camera is located on the side of the watch's band--the ease of taking a picture is certainly impressive. September security update starts hitting T-Mobile Galaxy S7 and S7 edge

T-Mobile has started pushing out a new update to Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 edge units on its network. The carrier's website says that the update - which weighs in at over 350MB - brings latest security patches, changes related to time/date, and various system improvements. However a quick look at the official change-log reveals that the update includes Samsung Cloud, sync feature for video and photos, as well as back up and restore features for apps, home screen, music files, and documents. A could management menu has also been added. As is usually the case with OTA roll-outs, it may take time for the update to hit your device. Xiaomi Mi Max and Mi Band 2 leak before May 10 launch

Xiaomi is holding its Beijing event in a week, on May 10, where the company will announce the Mi Max smartphone and the Mi Band 2. Photos of the two have emerged showing the devices beforehand. The Xiaomi Mi Max will feature a flat, metal frame and the traditional for the company capacitive buttons under the screen. The specs of the phone include a 6.4" 1080p display, a Snapdragon 650 chipset with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage. The camera duo is a 16MP snapper at the back and a 5MP at the front. As for the Mi Band 2, it will feature a similar design to its predecessor, but with the major difference of a monochrome display. The band will also have a physical button on the right side.
