Android 4.4.4 KitKat now seeding to the Sony Xperia Z1 Compact

Sony Xperia Z1 Compact is now getting Android 4.4.4 KitKat update. Google released 4.4.4 last week - it contains just a security patch for an OpenSSL bug, which would have allowed a man-in-the-middle attack. There are no new features.


The OTA update for the Xperia Z1 Compact doesn't bring anything new, either. You bet the new firmware also comes with the recently announced Android 4.4.3 fix, which squashes some bugs and improves the system stability and performance.
Xperia Z1 Compact's Android 4.4.4 firmware comes under the build number of 14.4.A.0.108. The same build has been already certified for the Sony Xperia Z1 and Xperia Z Ultra, too. This means the owners of this devices should expect their update notifications very soon.

Galaxy A9 Pro international variant is now Bluetooth certified

The Samsung SM-A910F - which is alleged to be the international variant of the Galaxy A9 Pro (SM-A9100) - has now received certification from the Bluetooth Special Interest Group (SIG), indicating an imminent launch. This comes just a few weeks after the handset (both standard and dual-SIM models) received Wi-Fi certification from the WiFi Alliance (WFA). Prior to that, the phone was spotted on India's import/export tracking website Zauba. Sadly, pricing and availability details of the Samsung SM-A910F aren't yet known. Opera Max celebrates 50 million Android users with VIP mode

Opera announced that their data-saving app Opera Max reached 50 million active users. Along with that it updated the app which now has VIP mode for unlimited data savings and privacy. Opera was always aiming to compress the web. With their Opera Max free VPN application you are able to lower your data usage when browsing and streaming audio and video. The only requirement is to tap a button every 12 hours to lengthen you data-saving experience. PlayStation Vita Remote Play allows PS4 users to play console games through their PS Vita. After updating software on both platforms to the most recent firmware, you will find a new prompt on the PS Vita that states "PS4 Link".
