Sony Xperia XA and Xperia X are receiving new updates

Sony has started pushing out new updates to its Xperia XA and Xperia X smartphones. The Xperia XA update is hitting both the standard as well as the dual SIM variant, carrying a build number of 33.2.A.3.74 and 33.2.B.3.74, respectively.
Sadly, there's currently no information on what the update brings along as the change log is not available, although given that the build number template has moved from 33.2.X.2.XX to 33.2.X.3.XX, there should be some major changes.
Moving on, the Sony Xperia X is also receiving a new update that bumps the build number to 34.0.A.2.301 (previous build number was 34.0.A.2.292). It's said to be small update, mostly consisting of regular bug fixes. However, the official change-log is currently not available in this case as well.

Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate Review

Image
Impressively, it's exactly the same game on Wii U and 3DS - but is it worth your time on either? Every time a new Monster Hunter games comes out, I think: surely, I must be done with this now. After several hundred hours over at least three versions, I’m not going to get sucked in again. But I do, every time. It's because Monster Hunter’s world is so absorbing, and the gentle rhythm of prepare, hunt, and collect is so innately satisfying. Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate is the slickest game in the series to date, and it’s an ideal introduction to the hugely enjoyable business of cooperative monster-slaying. The basic idea is to venture out into the wilds, find an impressive monster, kill it, and then make hats and swords out of its entrails – but there’s a lot more to it than that. There are 12 weapons, hundreds of items, and more than 100 hours’ worth of quests, but it’s the thrill of the chase and the addictive rush of hard-earned victory that continually hooks...

Image
As we are sure most of you already heard, Apple finally brought an arguably overdue refresh to its Mac Pro laptop lineup on Thursday. It consists of a trio of new laptops, two in the 13-inch and on in the 15-inch form factor. All of them are more powerful and significantly thinner than their predecessors, have better screens, improved touchpads and lets call it a "different" approach to the keyboard and I/O, now entirely made of Type-C ports. However, all that was totally overshadowed by the introduction of the Touch Bar - Apple's new touch-screen strip, that courageously sits above the keyboard (yes, we do think it fits, since the Escape and Function keys are now completely tactile-free) and promises to revolutionize and totally change more than a few familiar workflows. Regardless of your or our personal opinion on the new tech and the respective willingness to look at the keyboard, rather than the screen in order to take advantage of some of th...

Oppo confirms the Find 7 will have a 2K screen

The upcoming Oppo Find 7 is rumored to have a lot of cool specs, among which a 2K screen that's as big as 5.7". Oppo officially denied that the Find 7 will have a 5.7" screen (or a 7" one for that matter), but now the company is confirming the 2K resolution. The 2K resolution in question (there are several ) is probably QHD – no, not qHD, Q HD or Quad HD (4x 720p). That's 2,560 x 1,440. #Find5 was the world’s first smartphone with a 5” 1080p display. #Find7 is taking it one step further. #AlwaysImprove pic.twitter.com/gSYadlgOrl — OPPO (@oppo) December 17, 2013 Other rumored specs include a Snapdragon 805 chipset and 3GB RAM to handle the massive resolution. Despite the several official confirmations from Oppo, the company is yet to announce when the Find 7 will be unveiled. Oppo missed the opportunity to launch the first 1080p phone (despite what the tweet says, HTC beat it with the Butterfly by a month) and now history might repeat it...
