LG Pay delayed until 2017, says rumor

LG has been working on its own mobile payment system since last year. A big part of LG Pay is integration with the White Card - a smart card that stores info for multiple credit and debit cards and connects to your phone over NFC, allowing you to manage it.
Originally, the mobile payment system was meant to debut alongside the new LG V20, but issues encountered during the development of White Card prevented that. LG has not yet filed for regulatory approval of the system.
The launch has been pushed to next year, without any specific target. It's not clear where that leaves the V20 in terms of support, but it seems that the physical White Card is what interfaces with terminals (NFC, chip and magnetic strip) while the phone interacts with the card over standard NFC.

Google Pixel C tablet makes it to the UK, yours from £399

After having become available to purchase in the US yesterday, Google's Pixel C tablet is now also up for grabs in the UK. As is always the case with these things, the pricing is different across the pond. In the UK, the 32GB version of the tablet can be yours for £399, while the 64GB model goes for £479. The two keyboard docks - regular and folio - are both sold separately and priced at the same £119. The Google Store offers free delivery for your order, and if you buy a Pixel C it will be shipped in 1-2 working days. The silver tablet is made from anodized aluminum and has a 10.2-inch 2,560x1,800 LCD touchscreen, the Nvidia Tegra X1 chipset powering it, 3GB of RAM, an 8 MP rear camera, a 2 MP front-facing unit, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, a USB Type-C port, and a 34.2 Wh battery. The Bureau: XCOM Declassified Review

Don't call it XCOM. I played through The Bureau: XCOM Declassified 's entire floundering tactical shooter campaign wondering how it planned to pull off a plausible prequel backstory to the freshly rebooted XCOM universe. When I got to the end, it didn't even seem to try, content to let us wonder why this 1960s version of XCOM didn't bother to tell 2010s XCOM (of XCOM: Enemy Unknown) that hostile aliens exist and that there's a closet full of working plasma guns somewhere. Not making sense doesn't seem to bother The Bureau, either in story or in its flawed attempt to use permanent death mechanics and strangely shoddy construction. But it sure bothered me. ...
