OnePlus USB Type-C cable finally becomes available for $5.49

At the end of July, OnePlus let the world know that it would start selling a standalone version of the USB Type-C cable that comes bundled with the OnePlus 2. Amusingly, this was supposed to happen "three weeks or so" after August 11, when the OnePlus 2 was going to launch.
The phone itself was then hit by delays, so it really isn't surprising that the cable was delayed too. Though perhaps you wouldn't have expected it to go from three weeks after August 11, to almost two months after that.

Anyway, the USB Type-C cable is finally up for grabs on OnePlus' website, in two variants. A 100cm model can be yours for just $5.49 (or €5.49), while the 150cm cable is priced at $6.99 (or €6.99). They're both in stock right now, but this being OnePlus it's impossible to tell how long that will last. So if you need one of these (and they are pretty cheap), maybe you should grab one as soon as possible. After all, USB Type-C is the future, they say.
Although this cable has a USB Type-C connector on one end (the one that goes into your OnePlus 2 presumably), it has the well known USB Type-A connector at the other end - the one that people call 'normal size' USB and which you can plug into any computer, for example. The neat thing is that the OnePlus cable is reversible at both ends, so you never have to pay attention to which side is up ever again.
