Apple News for iOS 9 is not available to users in China
Apple News, one of the hot new features found in iOS 9 is not
available to users in China. The Cupertino tech giant has reportedly
pulled the plug on the service in the country, which is its second
largest market behind only the United States.
The manufacturer has reportedly opted to block access to Apple News altogether, as opposed to trying to censor its content. The Chinese requirement has a set of censorship rules that foreign companies need to follow in order to do business in the country.
The News app’s deactivation in China affects even iOS users who visit the country from abroad. Apple has declined to officially comment on the subject.
