Gear Fit2 software update brings some new features

Samsung has released an update for the Gear Fit2 fitness band, that should be rolling out to users right now. It includes a handful of new features to improve the tracking experience.
Gear Fit2 can now auto pause the activity tracking when it detects that the user has stopped. It can also automatically begin when it detects activity. This means you get accurate tracking and don't have to fiddle with the device during a session.
The Gear Fit2 can also track activities outside of the previous pre-defined activities. Things like basketball, table tennis, badminton, football, and even dancing are now categorized under Dynamic Workout and are automatically logged when the user engages for over ten minutes.
Lastly, Gear Fit2 is now better for tracking sets of repetitive workouts. You can program it to track things such as crunches, lunges, squats, etc. and it will count the reps for you and also display appropriate break intervals in between.
