Leaked Nexus Sailfish build file hints at Snapdragon 820 and 1080p display

After a bunch of rumors and leaks about the next batch of Nexus devices, it's now almost certain that HTC will be tasked with producing Google's upcoming pair. Not long ago, some specs were leaked for both the bigger model codenamed Marlin and the smaller one, codenamed Sailfish .
Today a fresh new leak, courtesy of Evan Blass (@evleaks) seems to shed a bit more light on the matter. It is a leaked build.prop file, allegedly from the Salifish handset. For anyone unfamiliar with the guts of the Android OS, the file in question typically holds quite a few internal settings and configuration values that often reveal the hardware platform it is intended for.
In this case, reading thorough the text, we can spot both the "ARM64-V8a" and "msm8996" strings, which point squarely at Qualcomm's Snapdragon 820 SoC. This does make us wonder whether the bigger "Merilin" smartphone will use the chip as well, or go with the overclocked Snapdragon 821.
 
Another interesting value from the file indicates a pixel density of 420ppi. If the originally rumored 5.2-inch screen size holds true, then that definitely hints at a FullHD resolution.

Galaxy A9 Pro international variant is now Bluetooth certified

The Samsung SM-A910F - which is alleged to be the international variant of the Galaxy A9 Pro (SM-A9100) - has now received certification from the Bluetooth Special Interest Group (SIG), indicating an imminent launch. This comes just a few weeks after the handset (both standard and dual-SIM models) received Wi-Fi certification from the WiFi Alliance (WFA). Prior to that, the phone was spotted on India's import/export tracking website Zauba. Sadly, pricing and availability details of the Samsung SM-A910F aren't yet known. iPhone SE teardown shows hardware ranging from iPhone 5 to 6s

The Apple iPhone SE is a 6s in a 5s body, but Chipworks dug into the internals and it turns out the story is more complicated than that. It straddles multiple generations - from the iPhone 5 selfie camera to the iPhone 6s chipset, a whopping four generations. The Apple A9 chipset is brand new and the SK Hynix-made LPDDR4 2GB memory matches the 6s as well. The NFC, audio chips and motion sensor are from that generation as well. The storage appears to be from the 6s as well, but an earlier 19nm chip instead of the 15nm being shipped now. The Qualcomm modem from the earlier iPhone 6 model while the touchscreen controller goes back to the iPhone 5s. 12.2-inch version of the Lenovo Yoga Book with Android shows up at Amazon priced at just $299.99

At IFA last year, Lenovo turned some heads with its Yoga Book, a 2-in-1 laptop / tablet hybrid that doesn't have an actual physical keyboard. Instead, its so-called Halo Keyboard is flat and doubles as a writing surface, complete with predictive input and autocorrect functionality. So far the Yoga Book has been available with a 10.2-inch 1080p touchscreen, running either Windows or Android. A model with Chrome OS on board is coming this year, but also a bigger one too. While the Chrome OS Yoga Book has been confirmed by Lenovo already, a 12.2-inch Yoga Book has been listed by Amazon without any proper official introduction. HTC One (M8) for Windows now available on Amazon for $50

Verizon's HTC One (M8) for Windows is now available for purchase at Amazon US. It costs just $49.99 with a two-year contract. You can get the contract-free (but Verizon-branded) model for $599.99. The smartphone went official a week ago as a Verizon exclusive. Its hardware absolutely identical with its Android-powered sibling - the HTC One (M8) flagship, but runs on Windows Phone 8.1. As we already know n the HTC One (M8) for Windows will be a limited time exclusive, as AT&T has already confirmed it will be selling it later this year. Today various reports suggest the phone is coming to T-Mobile and Sprint, too.
