Samsung quits Australian camera market
After Germany and the UK,
Samsung has now pulled out of the camera market in Australia. "Due to
changing market conditions, Samsung will reduce its focus on sales and
marketing for its range of digital imaging products in this country,"
the tech giant said.
Most Australian retailers have already stopped stocking Samsung cameras, and are - quite understandably - focusing on clearing the existing inventory. An important point worth mentioning here is that Samsung's exit from Australian camera market will not impact the launch of its Gear 360 camera there.
This comes just a few weeks after Samsung Australia’s digital imaging manager Craig Gillespie left the company.
