Android N seamless updates not coming to existing devices

Google announced a bunch of new features in the upcoming Android N during the Google I/O keynote, one of which was seamless updates. With this, new Android devices running N will be able to download the updates in the background and the next time you restart the device you will be running the new version.
Turns out, the key word here is 'new'. According to Android Police, the seamless update features won't be coming to existing Android devices.
The feature requires two partitions, one offline and one online, and it installs the update on the offline partition and then switches it to online when the device reboots. So essentially you need two partitions for this to to work, something current devices don't have. Creating those seems to be too much work, something Google does not want users to go through (and risk damaging their device).
As such, the only way to get this feature now will be on upcoming devices running N that will be launched with this feature enabled.

Grand Theft Auto V Dominates US Sales in September

Nintendo's 3DS wins the hardware war. The NPD Group has revealed the top ten best-selling games in the United States for the month of September, 2013. Total sales – including hardware, software, and accessories – amounted to $1.079 billion for the month, up 27 percent from the same month last year. While hardware sales were down 13 percent compared to September of 2012 -- $183.2 million in hardware was sold this month – accessories were up two percent, and software sales were up a staggering 40 percent. Rockstar Unveils New GTA V Screens, Los Santos Travelogue

12 new images of the action in Los Santos. Rockstar's Grand Theft Auto V is just a little over a month away from launch, but you can check out 12 just released screenshots right now. The images show an assortment of urban and rural areas in the sprawling Los Santos, and another look at the action from under the water. And hey, if extreme car chases aren't your thing, there's even a picture of Michael playing some tennis and apparently pointing at something. But Rockstar released more than just screenshots on Tuesday, adding a travelogue where you can explore some areas of Los Santos and Blaine County in more detail. While we already knew that Oppo's upcoming R7s smartphone will have 3GB RAM, it has now been revealed that the device will also be offered in a 4GB RAM variant.
