Verizon's Google Pixel 2 is already $100 off at Best Buy if you use monthly installments

As you may know, Google only made the Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL official yesterday. Yet here we are 24 hours later bringing you the first ever deal on the company's new smartphone duo. Best Buy already lets you save up to $100 when you purchase a Pixel 2, but there are some noteworthy caveats.
First off, only the Pixel 2 is $100 off. The Pixel 2 XL is discounted too, but just by a mere $25. Next up, you need to know that these are Verizon Pixels we're talking about, and to take advantage of the price reduction you're going to have to pay for them using the carrier's installment plan.
 
Google Pixel 2 If you're okay with all of that, then your monthly installments for the Pixel 2 will be $22.91 (for the 64GB version) or $27.08 (for the 128GB model). Over the course of two years, you'll pay a grand total of $549.84 or $649.92, respectively - in each case, a few cents over $100 less than normal.
If you're interested in the Pixel 2 XL, the installments will be $34.36 per month (64GB) or $38.53 per month (128GB). In total that means either $824.64 or $924.72, depending on which model you pick. Just a hair over $25 in savings, as mentioned.
You still get the free Google Home Mini if you go this route. The Pixel 2 should ship by October 19, while the Pixel 2 XL doesn't even have a release date to speak of yet. So be prepared to play the waiting game.

Future Nokias may have Carl Zeiss optics, but HMD is playing coy

Long before Huawei partnered with a legendary German camera brand, Nokia put Carl Zeiss-branded lenses on its phones. A recent Tweet led people to believe that partnership will not carry over to the HMD-made phones, but now there’s a glimmer of hope. It turns out that was a mistake - the tweet only meant that the current Nokias (6, 5 and 3) do not have Zeiss optics, not that new phones definitely will not have them. Of course, that’s not the same as confirming that they will, even though the tweet ends with a tantalizing “stay tuned”. New rumor suggests OnePlus 3T will be cheaper in China

When the OnePlus 3T was announced last week, its US and European pricing information was revealed - the device will carry $439 and $479 price tag for the 64GB and 128GB variants, respectively, in the US, while in the EU the prices will be €439 and €479, respectively. Now, a new rumor has revealed the expected price tag the handset will carry in China. According to the rumor, the 64GB variant of the phone is expected to cost RMB 2,799 (around $405), while the 128GB model will set you back RMB 3,299 (around $480). The report adds that there's a possibility that the company might bring down the price of the 128GB variant to RMB 3,199 (around $465). Now, a new report is suggesting that the tech will be used for mobile payments as well. We already know that the Xiaomi Mi Max - which is said to sport a mammoth 6.4-inch FullHD display - will be unveiled on May 10. However, turns out that Xiaomi will make a couple of more announcements that day - the company has confirmed that the next major iteration of its MIUI ROM as well as the Mi Band 2 will also be unveiled on May 10.
