Promo video shows how cool iPhone's Portrait Mode would have looked for videos

Apple posted a video dubbed “Portraits of Her”, which promotes the new and improved Portrait mode of the iPhone 8 Plus and iPhone X, specifically the cool Portrait Lighting feature.
But the video shows the effect done on video – something the actual iPhones can’t pull off. It does look quite cool though, maybe we’ll see something similar in future iPhones. At any rate, it was cool to see what this feature could do in motion.

OnePlus One is the first smartphone to record in DCI 4K, check it out in action

4K video recording has started to become a staple feature of all the flagship Android smartphone these days. But the version of 4K that these phones record in is the UHD resolution, or the ones used by 4K televisions, and is exactly four times the resolution of full HD. But there is another version of 4K and that is DCI 4K, which is what the professional cinema cameras use while recording in 4K. The difference here is the added width; whereas UHD is 3840×2160, DCI 4K is 4096×2160. But while several smartphones record in UHD, the OnePlus One is the first to record in DCI 4K. Samsung Galaxy Note 2 catches fire on IndiGo flight

Samsung is now investigating yet another fire caused by a Samsung phone, however, I wouldn’t put the blame on the phone just yet. We’ll get back to why in a moment. A new report came from India where a Samsung Galaxy Note II caught fire and began to smoke up a passenger-filled cabin while in flight on an IndiGo plane. This caused India’s Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) to soon issue and advisory to encourage passengers to turn off all Samsung Galaxy Note devices before taking off. ”We advise flyers to exercise caution while flying with Samsung Note devices. They should either keep these devices switched off or not travel with them,” In a statement, the airline said “A few passengers traveling on 6E-054 flight from Singapore to Chennai noticed the smoke smell in the cabin this morning… and immediately alerted the cabin crew on board,” Once notified, the crew reacted quickly and identified the smoke to come from an overhead bin around seat 23C of the a...
