Sony announces updated PlayStation VR headset

Just a year after its launch, Sony has launched an updated version of the PlayStation VR system with a couple of small but important changes.
First the headphone cable is now integrated within the headset itself, and runs cleanly along the back of the headset so it doesn't dangle around you as with the previous design.
Next, the Processor Unit has been redesigned. This is the box that connects the PlayStation 4 to the VR headset and the TV. The updated version supports HDR pass through so you no longer have to unplug your console from the box and plug directly into the TV anymore if you want to watch HDR content on the TV.
Apart from that, the new version is identical to the previous one and supports all of the same content. Sony hasn't yet announced when it will be available but it will be sold at the same price as the current one.
