Street Fighter 5 American Stress Test to Take Place This Week

Taking place August 25 and 26.
A Street Fighter V online stress test is scheduled to take place in North and South America this week.
The tests are scheduled for Tuesday, August 25 from 4pm-12am PT and Wednesday, August 26 from 4pm-12am PT.
Previously held in both Europe and Asia, this test will gauge the connection between players to ensure the launch of the forthcoming Street Fighter V beta will go more smoothly than its previous trial run. Capcom issued a cautionary statement regarding possible hiccups and issues that could be encountered during the stress test.
"Please note that although we anticipate these tests to run smoother than before, there may still be issues experienced by some users. All data received during each of the stress tests will help us improve the online experience moving forward, and we appreciate your understanding and support," reads a post on the Capcom-Unity blog. Fans are invited to follow @SFVServer on Twitter for updates.
For the best possible experience, Capcom recommends using a wired internet connection if possible and to avoid downloading files in the background to allow for more bandwidth usage. Once the stress tests have all been completed, an official start date for Street Fighter V's next global beta test will be announced.
Street Fighter V is the latest in the long-running fighting game franchise published by Capcom exclusively for PS4 and PC. Presently, no confirmed release date has been announced.
