Evernote is pulling the plug on its Food app

Popular productivity app company Evernote has announced that it is killing off its Food app, which was released back in 2011 and allowed users to find and save recipes and click food photos.
"As of September 30th, we’ll no longer support Evernote Food for iOS and Android," the company said in a blog post. "This means the apps will no longer be available for download and we won’t be making any further updates to them. It also means that features within the apps, including sync with the Evernote service, will no longer work."
In addition, Evernote said that its core apps and Web Clipper are now capable of doing what Food did best: clipping recipes and snapping photos of meals. The company is also suggesting users to check out its App Center Food Collection that features Evernote-integrated food-centric apps.

12.2-inch version of the Lenovo Yoga Book with Android shows up at Amazon priced at just $299.99

At IFA last year, Lenovo turned some heads with its Yoga Book, a 2-in-1 laptop / tablet hybrid that doesn't have an actual physical keyboard. Instead, its so-called Halo Keyboard is flat and doubles as a writing surface, complete with predictive input and autocorrect functionality. So far the Yoga Book has been available with a 10.2-inch 1080p touchscreen, running either Windows or Android. A model with Chrome OS on board is coming this year, but also a bigger one too. While the Chrome OS Yoga Book has been confirmed by Lenovo already, a 12.2-inch Yoga Book has been listed by Amazon without any proper official introduction. It's not available yet, but it does have a price: $299.99 running Android. That's oddly cheaper than what the 10-inch Yoga Book costs with Google's OS, namely $499. Gran Turismo 6 Includes Microtransactions

Sony has confirmed the presence of in-game credits, but not their cost. Gran Turismo 6 will be the first game in the series to feature microtransactions, Sony has confirmed. A post on the PS Blog explains how in-game credits will be implemented, alongside announcing digital pre-orders are now being accepted. You'll be able to purchase bundles of 500K, 1 million, 2.5 million or 7 million credits from the PS Store that can in turn be exchanged for cars and parts. A sample chart, which you can see below, gives you an example of all the cars that you could purchase for 1 million credits. While it's been confirmed that microtransactions will feature in the game, Sony hasn't announced how much the in-game credits will cost in terms of real-world cash. LG G Pad 7.0 specs uncovered through unofficial means

LG has the irksome habit of announcing stuff with just a photo and virtually no specs, the same thing happened with the three new LG G Pad tablets. We have to resort to sources like AnTuTu for specifications of the LG G Pad 7.0 as if it’s a rumored, unofficial device. So, here it goes. The 7″ screen has 1280 x 800 pixel resolution, making for 216ppi. Unlike the G Pad 8.3 , this one doesn’t seem to be a particularly high-end model. If the screen wasn’t indication enough, then the Snapdragon MSM8226 chipset should make you certain. This chipset houses a quad-core Cortex-A7 CPU running at 1.2GHz and an Adreno 305 GPU. The LG G Pad 7.0 has 1GB RAM and 8GB storage, presumably expandable. There’s also a 3.2MP main camera and a 1.3MP front-facing camera, though there’s no info on the video capture resolution.
