Lumia Camera app found to work on non-Microsoft hardware

Apparently, the Lumia Camera application for Windows Phone 8.1 works with non-Microsoft hardware. The application has been found to work on the likes of Huawei Ascend W1 and Samsung ATIV SE.
However, not all Lumia Camera functions work on the above mentioned smartphones. Tweaking shutter speed, focus, and switching to the front-facing camera are said to make the app crash on non-Microsoft devices.
Regardless of the app’s limitations, we reckon that it still offers plenty of functionality to make it worth trying out. If you are among the few Windows Phone 8.1 users who don’t use a Microsoft device, head over to the Microsoft Store to try it out.
As you probably know by now, Lumia Camera will be the default photography app on Windows 10.
