Xperia Z2 goes on pre-order, here are the prices

The Sony Xperia Z2 was announced at the MWC yesterday and is up for pre-order right away. Here are some of the prices and timeframes we've collected from several sites.

 First off, the Xperia Z2 is available for pre-order from Sony Mobile's own site. All country-specific sites we tried promise a delivery in April, but prices vary quite a bit.
In the UK, it's £600 (€730), but Clove UK lists it at £564 with the first stock expected in April. This website does have a note, saying the official price and availability are yet to be confirmed.
In Germany, Sony's web store offers the Z2 at €600 and there are also several other online retailers, who have it at the same price.
In the Netherlands the phone is €650 and PLN 2,800 (€675) in Poland. That's still better than France, Italy and Spain where the Xperia Z2 flagship is €700. In Sweden, it's SEK 6,000 - €810!
In the US, the Sony Xperia Z2 should be available commitment-free from T-Mobile at $600.

Samsung Galaxy Gear 2 to come with new design, flexible display

The Samsung Galaxy Gear 2 smartwatch has been rumored to come out in tandem with the Galaxy S5. Now a new publication in a Korean media, which claims to be in touch with Samsung insiders, the new generation smartwatch will be announced in March or April. The announcement is likely to happen in London, probably at an Unpacked event. The insider also claims that Samsung has felt the need to radically change the design of the upcoming Gear. The overhaul will include a new, flexible OLED display. Additionally, the report says that Samsung has gone to quite the extremes and has changed all the parts that look “dull or boring.” Previous rumors have hinted that the Gear 2 might be 15-20% thinner than the first generation. 10,000 Xperia Z3 and Z3 Compact owners can test drive Android Marshmallow

This way for the Marshmallow trial. Sony's Concept for Android initiative will allow 10,000 Xperia Z3 and Xperia Z3 Compact owners to beta test Android's new major version. The new software is built on feedback Sony received from the initiative launched earlier this year. If you want in, you'll have to check in with the Concept Sign-up app . It's first come, first serve so there's an element of urgency. Note that the test is limited to select European countries: Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Finland, Iceland, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, United Kingdom, Ireland or Germany. If you're selected for the test, you'll get a notification in the next few weeks. The software should start rolling out soon after that. G4 bootloops are caused by hardware issue, LG vows to repair affected units

Many owners of the LG G4 have complained about a bootloop issue, but so far without receiving any assistance whatsoever from the Korean smartphone maker. Well, that's finally changed. LG has now acknowledged the bootloop issue, and after a thorough investigation has concluded that a hardware problem is to blame. Specifically, the bootloops are caused by a "loose contact between components". The company has vowed to fix the problem for affected devices, with no additional cost for its customers of course. It turns out that the G4 units experiencing this are not from one particular retail partner - they can be among those sold by carriers, or third-parties.
