Google is retiring older versions of many Google mobile apps on April 3
Google's default application suite is currently the centerpiece of
productivity tasks on many mobile devices, both Android and iOS.
Apparently, the web giant has reached some kind of major cut-off point
in the development of many of its apps and is now planning to retire and
stop supporting older versions.
The switch will be flipped on April 3 and will affect the following application version on Android and iOS, respectively:
This does make us wonder how the change will potentially effect anybody using a third-party Play Services solution or modded Google apps. Consider this a heads-up for all you tinkerers and modders out there.

- Google Docs for Android (prior to version 1.6.292)
- Google Sheets for Android (prior to version 1.6.292)
- Google Slides for Android (prior to version 1.6.292)
- Google Drive for iOS (prior to version 4.16)
- Google Docs for iOS (prior to version 1.2016.12204)
- Google Sheets for iOS (prior to version 1.2016.12208)
- Google Slides for iOS (prior to version 1.2016.12203)
