More pictures of HTC X Under Armour smart watch surface

Earlier this month HTC announced it will take it easy with new handsets in 2017 when the company unveiled HTC U Ultra and HTC U Play. But the Taiwanese company didn’t say anything about not launching other devices such as smart watches.
And now we have more photos of the long-rumored device codenamed “Halfbeak”, which we told you about several months ago. It looks like it is still on track for a market release.

Pictures surfaced on Weibo, showing that HTC is indeed planning to launch the device. There are two things that deserve our attention on the watch - Under Armour’s logo on the back of the device which could mean that the sporting goods company could have the final word in features and design.
The other thing is the device runs Android Wear 1.0 at this point. Hopefully it will get upgraded to Wear 2.0 by the time it launches.

We still do not have a release date but the logical thing for HTC to do is to present “Halfbeak” at MWC in Barcelona - after all last year the company chose the conference for another new gadget in its portfolio - the HTC Vive.
