Huawei Mate 9 Pro will come with a dual-curved 5.9" QHD display
Curves, curves everywhere. The Mate 9 Pro will be the dual-edge
version of Huawei's high-end phablet to be unveiled in a couple of
weeks. So far known as Long Island, this tricked out model will offer QHD resolution as opposed to the 1080p of Manhattan (Mate 9 proper).
Daydream has been the incentive here - Google's VR feature will only be supported on the Mate 9 Pro, and not the vanilla version. Not surprising, really - 1080p resolution stretched to 6 inches, and you'll certainly be counting pixels, instead of enjoying VR.
Aside from those key differences, the Pro shouldn't differ from the non-Pro. That means a Kirin 960 chipset, 4GB of RAM, storage starting at 64GB and a dual camera setup on the back - complete with Leica branding, of course.
November 3 just can't come soon enough.
