Samsung Galaxy Note7 it is, leakster confirms the name

The original Samsung Galaxy Note that started it all was released in the the fall of 2011, the same year the Galaxy S II came to life. Ever since, Samsung's phablet lineup has been trailing its regular-sized flagship brethren in numbering, but that's about to change this year.
The Galaxy Note7 will succeed the Note5 and now Notes and S's will walk hand in hand. The rumor about Samsung's marketing move started floating around almost precisely a month ago, and the naming change has now been (sort of) confirmed by popular leakster Evan Blass (@evleaks).
Sure, that image is a lot easier to fabricate than a paper airplane that actually flies well, but we gather there's some insider information behind it. Either way the smartphone is expected to arrive on August 2, putting an end to speculations on naming, screen types, iris recognition, and whatnot.
