Reminder: Side Sync for the Galaxy S7 is pretty awesome

Side Sync is nothing new. It’s been around since the Galaxy S4 and it works all the way back to the Galaxy S III as long as you’re on KitKat 4.4 and above and it’s a pretty underrated feature of the Galaxy lineup.
You can install Side Sync on a PC or Mac and it allows you to control everything about your smartphone, drag and drop files, open apps, take phone calls, share your clipboard, and click around on a virtual version on your phone, all without root!
To get started:
  • Install Side Sync on your Galaxy device from the ‘Galaxy Apps’ store or Google Play Store
  • Install Side Sync on your PC or Mac from here
  • Launch Side Sync on the computer first, then launch on your device
  • Connect to your computer by using a Micro USB cable
  • Control panel window appears
It’s worth noting that you don’t need to connect your phone directly to your computer, you can also connect with Side Sync over a shared Wi-Fi connection (not Wi-Fi direct). Though, the connection isn’t going to be as stable as a physical USB cable. You can pair the two devices with either a QR code or a 3 digit PIN that you must enter into the Desktop app.
Once connected, the control panel shows you a few icons, and a notification center. You can dismiss notifications directly from this notification center. Clicking on a notification will launch your phone’s screen in a separate window and automatically open the corresponding app. From here, you can use the mouse and keyboard to control your phone and take action upon the notification as needed.
A row of icons above the notification window can be customized, you can add any app to this list of shortcuts to easily launch it right on your phone and bring it up to your desktop screen automatically.
More features include “Keyboard and Mouse Sharing” (which lets your cursor actually appear on your phone), a mobile hotspot shortcut, Call forwarding (yes, you can take calls on your PC just like Apple’s Continuity), and opening “My Files” lets you drag and drop files (only one way, from PC to phone).

Microsoft has made yet another app for Android, this time a keyboard. The Microsoft Hub Keyboard looks like a simple keyboard at first but it has a few tricks up its sleeve. The keyboard has four main features. The clipboard feature shows you text you had previously copied so you can paste it with a couple of taps. The documents feature lets you login to your Office 365 account and paste the URL of the files by typing their names. Galaxy A9 Pro international variant is now Bluetooth certified

The Samsung SM-A910F - which is alleged to be the international variant of the Galaxy A9 Pro (SM-A9100) - has now received certification from the Bluetooth Special Interest Group (SIG), indicating an imminent launch. This comes just a few weeks after the handset (both standard and dual-SIM models) received Wi-Fi certification from the WiFi Alliance (WFA). Prior to that, the phone was spotted on India's import/export tracking website Zauba. Sadly, pricing and availability details of the Samsung SM-A910F aren't yet known. iPhone SE teardown shows hardware ranging from iPhone 5 to 6s

The Apple iPhone SE is a 6s in a 5s body, but Chipworks dug into the internals and it turns out the story is more complicated than that. It straddles multiple generations - from the iPhone 5 selfie camera to the iPhone 6s chipset, a whopping four generations. The Apple A9 chipset is brand new and the SK Hynix-made LPDDR4 2GB memory matches the 6s as well. The NFC, audio chips and motion sensor are from that generation as well. The storage appears to be from the 6s as well, but an earlier 19nm chip instead of the 15nm being shipped now. The Qualcomm modem from the earlier iPhone 6 model while the touchscreen controller goes back to the iPhone 5s. 12.2-inch version of the Lenovo Yoga Book with Android shows up at Amazon priced at just $299.99

At IFA last year, Lenovo turned some heads with its Yoga Book, a 2-in-1 laptop / tablet hybrid that doesn't have an actual physical keyboard. Instead, its so-called Halo Keyboard is flat and doubles as a writing surface, complete with predictive input and autocorrect functionality. So far the Yoga Book has been available with a 10.2-inch 1080p touchscreen, running either Windows or Android. A model with Chrome OS on board is coming this year, but also a bigger one too. While the Chrome OS Yoga Book has been confirmed by Lenovo already, a 12.2-inch Yoga Book has been listed by Amazon without any proper official introduction. HTC One (M8) for Windows now available on Amazon for $50

Verizon's HTC One (M8) for Windows is now available for purchase at Amazon US. It costs just $49.99 with a two-year contract. You can get the contract-free (but Verizon-branded) model for $599.99. The smartphone went official a week ago as a Verizon exclusive. Its hardware absolutely identical with its Android-powered sibling - the HTC One (M8) flagship, but runs on Windows Phone 8.1. As we already know n the HTC One (M8) for Windows will be a limited time exclusive, as AT&T has already confirmed it will be selling it later this year. Today various reports suggest the phone is coming to T-Mobile and Sprint, too.
